There are way too many good film themes to fit into fifty songs but here are a few well known scores. I can already think of more to add so perhaps there will be a second playlist . If there are any good themes that I missed out (probably) please comment, thanks .

A playlist with carefully selected upbeat songs to suit indie and alternative lovers whether it be for pre-drinks before hitting the clubs, or can be used as a setlist to blast out at a house party :)

Imagine yourself sitting in a cafe, enjoying an overpriced beverage. When, all of the sudden, an awesome song dances across the speakers. The song is so catchy, you start to hum and tap along to the rhythm. In fact, the sound is so intoxicating, that it isn't until half way through that you realize that the singer isn't singing in English. How is that possible?! Isn't international music usually shrill and full of instruments you have never heard of? Think again. Here's a passport for your ears.

I don't know if there's necessarily a theme to this playlist, but they work nicely together. These songs are all I've listened to for about a month now, and they all give me a nice combo feeling of despair and hopefulness. I listen to them when I'm sad, I listen to them when I'm neutral, I listen to them when I'm doing alright. Point is, they're all fantastic, and I hope you love this playlist as much as I do. Some of them are extremely hard to find for downloading, so you may have to buy them off itunes or do a little googling to find them.

The songs selected are pretty divided between those associated with carrying on the relationship and those dealing with saying goodbye. Other tunes included help explain the miscellaneous and complicated thoughts that can come to mind when someone finds themselves in this position. I hope you enjoy!

This is a small sample of the songs I listen to when I get my heart broken. Some are for fun, some are cathertic, some I just threw in to cheer people up. Love sucks sometimes, but this takes the edge off the sting.

Caution: This mix will make you so ready to party, blinking your eyelids feels like a trip. Get ready to pregame and rage like a freakin' zombie. Hook it up to a sub for maximum effect but don't piss off your neighbors because these beats GO HARD. Be prepared to feel the adrenaline pumping through your inebriated veins.

The songs which I chose for this playlist are quite different from one another. Some are upbeat, others - not so much. One thing that they do all have in common however are the messages they convey. I'd like to think these songs apply to all relationships, the good times and the bad that happen throughout each one. The songs at the beginning are songs which make me think of the "meeting and falling" phase and then it continues onwards through "taking things to the next level" "first argument" "making up" "heart break" and "moving on" etc. Think of this playlist as a sort of timeline if you wish.

Valentine's Day has come and gone, but one must imagine that even Cupid isn't perfect. He must need to take lunch breaks, stop to frequent the restroom, and sleeps in (now and again). Perhaps it is in those times of momentary distraction, that he remembers to shoot one person...but innocently, yet fatefully, forgets to shoot the other. Thus unrequited love is born. What if dear Cupid neglects to sharpen an arrow? Indeed both parties are shot, but one is left more stung then the other. Oh dear, oh dear...and poor Cupid himself, the workaholic, is it not possible that even he has slighted a lover or two? This list is dedicated to Cupid's Ex.

Every song on here reminds me of my summer in New Zealand a few years back. It's a little bit eerie, makes me a little teary, I hate and love at the same time how a list of songs can pull you right back into the past, as soon as the music begins.
And, as much as I hate the fact Kesha and Owl City are on here, I cannot deny the honest truth that they were a part of my summer and my memories.

I hold the blade to my skin, the light glints off and my eyes reflect back to me through the thin silvery knife. Why do I want to feel pain; the blood seeping through my veins? Because, if I don't, I might think I'm not human because I can't feel anything. Not happy, or sad, or even angry. Just confused. I can see all those scars around my left around, faded but still visible. I've done this over a dozen times, and I know it doesn't work. It doesn't help me face reality. I musn't do this. I put the blade down, and take my beloved and most trusted device. My Ipod where all my emotions are channeled only through this playlist. I lie down, and let the music envelop me in its serenade of the lives of others.

Lately I've been feeling like I'm not living my life to the fullest and that there are people who just bring me sorrow. I've realized that they're not worth it, I'm gonna live my life like a want to and who cares what they think, you only live once! I think the key is believing in yourself and having more courage. This songs are about seizing the day, having more self confidence and happiness.
