Well the NASCAR season started last night with Kevin Harvick’s win in the Shootout. Here’s my Racing Rocks playlist. Some songs are obvious with their reference to speed. A couple I included because of the nature of NASCAR. Two others I included because after many years of watching racing, I believe that some drivers are blind in one eye & can’t see out of the other. The rest just sounded cool when mixed in with the other songs. So mash the gas & throw away those restrictor plates, it’s time to race.

you know when your coming home from the beach or city and your driving through the dusk, its so beautiful and peaceful. you tend to go deep into thoughts and daydreams whether they be sad, or happy. its my favourite time of day, so iv got some songs that remind me of it :D

Sitting inside by a window, with a blanket wrapped up to my eyeballs, the rain pelts against the window pane. I turn up the volume of my head phones and listen to my rainy day playlist. For what else is there to do when the heavens pour?

Each song pays tribute to the droplets of water that fall and dampen the earth. A mix of relaxing acoustics and upbeat rythems to match the day.

Lets be honest. Some people just arent genetically gifted with good-looks, charm, personality, or athletic ability. well most people arent. but it makes people like me feel just as annoyed toward the people who undeservably do. so heres to you my fellow outcasts. we will not apologize. we will not conform. we suck and we are fucking proud!

A punch in the heart, anyone? This is an extremely sad playlist. Not all of the songs are necessarily sad, but they're just so sweet that when you're down, they're bound to make you cry anyways. If you're really in the mood for a tear-jerking sesh, this is the way to go, and I wouldn't advise you to skip a single song because it is just that good. So, let this help to turn on the waterworks.

We've all felt angry at times, even homicidal. To everyone out there whos been ditched by your friends, unfairly punished by your parentals, humiliated by peers, or just plain hates the system, heres a nonviolent way to say 'Fuck you and everything you stand for' to the world.

Grab the nearest mason jar. Fill it with a room temperature Pabst Blue Ribbon. Open the fridge and dig out four ice cubes with your bare hand. Gracefully drop the cubes into the beer. Walk out to the wraparound front porch of your antebellum-era mansion and plop your tired ass into a wicker rocking chair. Take in a deep breath of thick humid southern air. Wipe your brow with the back of your arm and look out at the beautiful canvas that has unfolded before you. As you let that first gulp of cold wet PBR glide over your teeth, down your throat and into your stomach, keenly listen to the sounds of the south. Then listen to this playlist the remainder of the evening. Oh yea, make sure you have plenty of PBR and time...

but somehow its all been made hard. These songs are about getting fed up with the complexity society has put on music and the stereotypes associated with the different genres. Songs about how love can go wrong. Love doesn't just take us to the clouds, it also causes very deep pain. These songs describe the side of love which is not oh-so-happy.

like that feeling when you're a child, and you run around in circles simply because you can, you climb trees so you can feel bigger than the world even if only for a few moments, and when you fall out and scrape your knee it doesn't matter, because you can dance and dance and dance until all the sad feelings have gone.

So you "don't know much about history," and aren't very partial to reading up on the French Revolution, Ottoman Empire, World War II, or current events in order to brush up on it. No worries, this (admittedly, sparse and incomplete) playlist composed entirely of songs relating to aforementioned events will come to the rescue! Feel free to suggest other songs, as I (and other FIQLers) will appreciate an even more thorough covering of history through the ages.

These songs collaborated as a whole represent the non-stop playlist in my head as a high school student. A very integral part of any young adult's life, high school is a time for self-discovery and most of these songs are personally linked to many of my cherished high school memories. This playlist is essential for the art kids, the overlooked kids, the kids who knew about life outside of Mtv and beer.

When words fail, music speaks. Today I just found out my ex girlfriend (who I am still secretly in love with) just got engaged...

Ive been hearing songs that make me think of her everywhere I go... These are some of them.

As we quickly approach the end of another decade, it makes you want to stop and ask the question: where did all the time go? We are constantly looking to the future to better our lives and plan ahead, but have you ever thought about that maybe we ARE the future? It's incredible how far the human race has come. Where will we be in another ten years?

This mix was crafted with two special ladies in mind. I wanted to inspire and surround in a wintery wall of sound but I was given Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' as a touchstone which sort of threw me off. I played connect-the-dots from 'Crazy''s horn chart sample to Chi-Lite acoustic soul groove and went from there. I'm hoping TC & GT will plug into the mood of my list and enjoy. Cheers!

I'm a 19 year old guy who listens to gangsta rap and punk rock but these songs make me get really emotional. Some of these songs aren't exactly about unrequited love but you can interpret them as you like. These songs have some of the most beautiful lyrics i've ever heard. Please feel free to suggest any others that i or the other members would like.

This playlist will get you from a slow rocking mood into a headbanging rocker in about an hour. Starts slow with the anthem "Freebird" then launching into Classic Rock masterpieces like "Peace Of Mind", "Money For Nothing", and "Livin' On A Prayer", slowly turning up the heavyness until you hit hard rockers "Highway To Hell" and "Sweet Child O' Mind". Finishing off with hard and heavy uber songs "One" and "Peace Sells", two of the most epic songs, period.

This is a set of songs that tell the story of a friendship I had. As time progressed I kept adding songs that matched just how I felt about this friend; I had a song for every time I felt blissfully ignorant, hopelessly devoted, heartbroken, optimistically holding on to the strands of our friendship, and putting my life through a sort of rehab. This chronicles an entire year of my life that was full of changes. This is the story of my first love... my unrequited love.
