RE: songs about going away/leaving place John Denver - Leaving on a Jet Plane The Beatles - Yesterday Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time Chicago - If You Leave Me Now R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts Daniel Powter - Bad Day Demis Rousos - Goodbye My Love Goodbye DHT - Listen To Your Heart Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven Melissa Etheridge - I'm The Only One Richard Marx - Should Have Known Better Simon and Garfunkel - America (about moving from the UK to America, and all of Paul's worries) Sting And The Police - Every Breath You Take Sarah Brightman Feat. Andrea Bocell - Time To Say Goodbye
Dunno if these are all specifically about leaving the city, but they sure remind me of when I left all of my friends behind, as well as a few past loves. It's kind of a sad subject... lol prefer not to think about it much. Sorry for the super-delayed post.
