Reading the other posts made me realize how long "ever" really is lol. Nice one. Now, strategically, I have a different pick. It would have to be the composition "The Canyon" by Philip Glass. The Canyon is a 16-minute, 45-second composition, so it would take longer to get old.

Hmmm.... there's a few that I could maybe listen to for a week before going crazy... * Kill - Jimmy Eat World * Prophecy - Remy Zero *Ultraviolet - The Stiff Dylans (No judging - my lil sis has been watching Angus, Thongs nad Perfect Snogging all week... I kinda like the band in there!!!!!!)
In saying that, ask me again tomorrow and I'll probably give you three different answers!!

...or perhaps bemused that it would take 10 posts for someone to posit exactly what maryj says above. Perhaps the song should be Ozzy's Suicide Solution because that's what would ultimately happen, after you go crazy. Suicide as mercy killing.
So there is a school of thought that says that having to listen to one song forever is a description of Hell. At least for some people.
But that's hardly the spirit of the game. Stick me with any live Dark Star from 1969 or 1970 (Grateful Dead), maybe the Foreigner Suite by Cat Stevens, Close To The Edge by Yes....both songs from the art rock period of the early 1970's, both approaching 20 minutes. The 1812 Overture or Fantasy Overture from Tchaikovsky (London Symphony/Andre Previn perhaps) would work as well. Both are long, beautiful masterpieces, but even they, too, would eventually wear me the f*ck out. Sooner rather than later I suspect. Don't be a dick, just play the fucking game. @ OP: secret smile - semisonic :)
