I'm 19, and extremely Canadian. My whole life has been affected by music in so many different ways. I'm an obsessive mix maker. I'm into all different types of music: indie, ska, rock, classic rock, grunge, alternative, alt-country, alt-... [+] I'm 19, and extremely Canadian. I'm into all different types of music: indie, ska, rock, classic rock, grunge, alternative, alt-country, alt-country rock, country, americana, bluegrass, jazz, classical, instrumental, post-rock, experimental, industrial, singer-songwriter, pop, britpop, punk, acoustic, dance, techno, electronica, blues, soul, folk, folk punk, prog-rock, r&b, raggae, lots of oldies, and most definitely film scores. I'm currently favouring indie, alt-country rock, classic rock and the film scores, for sure. I honestly just can't handle rap, pop-punk and "emo" very much, save for the odd song.

The "Favourite Artists" list on the right? Seriously, it's ridiculously endless. It's probably pointless to keep listing millions of artists on there. :P

My top artists: Elliott Smith (#1), Pink Floyd, Great Big Sea, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Nickel Creek, Old 97's and Ryan Adams. That's the most minimal I can get. =]

I have a strong appreciation for music, and I love getting into new artists every day (seriously, every day). It's been a huge part of me my whole life, and it always will be.

As much time that music takes over, films take up just as much of my time! I'm also big into them, I'm a -huge- film geek. I mostly prefer the foreign films, classics, documentaries, "weird" movies, and the lesser known films. The films you have to go to a film festival to view. Though of course a blockbuster sneaks in here or there. ;)

My favourite films (some of them): 25th Hour, The Boondock Saints, Magnolia, Hotel Rwanda, East of Eden, An Inconvenient Truth, Edward Scissorhands, Mysterious Skin, The Laramie Project, Silence of the Lambs, Point Break, Scarface, Taxi Driver.

Some other huge interests of mine include: Livejournal, aviation (helicopters and airplanes, oh my!), lighthouses (pharo geek, not gonna lie), tea, photography, drawing, writing, reading, TV, politics, philosophy, serial killers, myths and legends, cars (and Nascar. .), making things, body mods, concerts, film festivals, coffee shops, pubs, art, travelling, animals, vintage things and sarcasm.

TV shows (might as well, eh?): Six Feet Under, Arrested Development, Saturday Night Live, Dexter, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Supernatural. The list could go on forever if I don't keep it short. [-]
