A new playlist universe...care to follow me?

Hello, all!

I had planned to have my blog be a place where I could showcase music I can't get heard here, due to Napster or Rhapsody issues. There is so much out there, and much of it is only available as downloads (no full-length streaming audio). So what's a long-haired sonic extreme freak to do? Go find another playlist site!

Here's the link: Project Playlist

The site is called Project Playlist, and the good news is that you can build playlists with actual streaming mp3 audio. The site's about page goes into great detail on how they do it, but in a nutshell, if you become a member, you can use their search engine to find streaming audio, add the files to your playlist and then play it! Now, there are some downsides to the site, such as too many pop-up ads and no way to create several small playlists (they pretty much expect you to add 76 tracks, which then fills that list, and then they will allow you to create another new playlist). But so far, I'm happy...with the above link, you can go to my playlist and actually hear the tracks, without having to sign up for anything (though if you like the site, you can join and create your own).

Basically, for my first songs, I started with prog epics, just to see if there were any good long songs available. Well...I found 8, so right now, I only have 8 songs on my playlist, though it does take over 2 hours to listen to it. I don't know what else I'll add, though I'll try to be as "sonic extreme" as I can be...I'll keep anyone who read my blog informed on future developments.

That's all for now...until next time!
