FIQL Pick 50 Beautiful Songs
[Updated on January 14, 2008] I made this playlist with the intention of creating one that reminded me of how beautiful music can truly be. I tried to pick songs that I felt had deeper meaning. It's mainly comprised of indie and post-rock. Good for night-driving or just relaxing and thinking. I purposely placed "Svo Hljott" by Sigur Rós at the end because it is a beautifully written song that really gives me a sense of closure... [+]

It's mainly comprised of indie and post-rock. Good for night-driving or just relaxing and thinking. I purposely placed "Svo Hljott" by Sigur Rós at the end because it is a beautifully written song that really gives me a sense of closure when I listen to it. There are a few repeated bands on here....and for good reason. Enjoy :)

hey there, i really like the look of this playlist..a big fan of sigur ros myself and andvari / svo hjott are amazing.. there are some tracks that i havent heard before so i'l be checking them out..thanks again.

I love this list, it really is beautiful. One of the most beutiful peaces of 'pop' music for me is Helicon 2 by Mogwai...I recomend it if you havnt heard it.

Wonderful playlist... could listen to it for hours and hours. Might you consider "High and Low" by Greg Laswell. Haunting, simple, and beautiful.
