FIQL Pick All The Way Home I'll Be Warm
It snowed, really snowed, for the first time in almost twenty years here in South Louisiana. It seemed like a miracle in the midst of all of the hard times that have followed my family and I these past few years. It felt like a promise that anything is possible. A fresh start. It snowed, really snowed, for the first time in almost twenty years here in South Louisiana. It seemed like a miracle in the midst of all of the hard times that have followed my family and I these past few years. It felt like a promise that anything is possible. A fresh start. So I went out to take a walk in the first real snowfall I've experienced since I was four. It was sort of like those scenes in the movies where the hero is walking out of the wreckage and into the light, only it's not such a triumphant or even positive moment, just a significant one. I just went for a walk in the snow, took a deep breath, and this is what I heard. This is what's been keeping me sane. [-]

In Texas, we got just a hint of what turned into snow for New Orleans. What a treat for you guys; I was happy for you in an "it snowed" way that only southerners can really appreciate. It reminded me of a few years back when Galveston woke Christmas morning to 10" of snow. Galveston! 10 inches! Talk about a winter wonderland.

It doesn't snow in New Zealand where I live. I would give anything to go for a walk in the snow. Great playlist by the way.
