We all now know and love our very own "playlists for driving", full of high-octane songs and artists whose music always seems
that much better when played through a car stereo. But what do you do for those journeys home the "morning after", where sharp guitar solos, insistent crash symbols and screaming rock gods aren't all that agreeing with your recovering head?
First, get a big breakfast into you - toast, bacon and eggs (the greasier the better) - then grumpily slouch into your car, wind down the windows and press
play. Turn the volume down to five and gently accelerate through two-and-a-half hours of music that'll keep both your head from exploding and your almost certainly sleep-deprived body from going to bed in the middle of the highway.
The sun's out, the window's down and you can hear the surf crashing down alongside the highway - or maybe it's bucketing down and you're still two hours from home with only paddocks and an unsteady belly for company. Whatever the road, this collection of songs will be sure to keep that panging headache at bay, while still keeping you fresh, relaxed and alert for the long journey home.
