FIQL Pick Electrofixation
A potted and admittedly selective history of electro/experimentalism through the ages - kicking it all off with the mighty Silver Apples, finishing up with the inimitable Mark E Smith and two of Mouse on Mars adopting the guise of a German medicine magnate. A potted and admittedly selective history of electro/experimentalism through the ages - kicking it all off with the mighty Silver Apples, finishing up with the inimitable Mark E Smith and two of Mouse on Mars adopting the guise of a German medicine magnate. There are so many more I could add to this - sadly I haven't got the time. Perhaps it shall be the beginning of a series. In fact that's exactly what I'll do. In the face of the masses of interesting electro artists out there, this is the first of who knows how many playlists. It's all evolving before your very eyes. Stream of consciousness playlising. What cracking good fun. Bring on the Korgs!!! Boyd Rice and Frank Tovey - I'll see you later..... [-]

electronica through the ages with no Kraftwerk? They started it all. Nice job otherwise

yup, well as I say in my comments, it is a potted and selective history, and to be fair it encompasses not just electro, but experimentalism as well, which was pretty much kicked off back in the '60's by Simian and co in Silver Apples, although I am kinda regreting leaving out White Noise. To be honest, I prefer Can to Kraftwerk, but I get your point. MAybe on the next list, eh? ;-)

Wow! Throbbing Gristle is very, very scary. Very interesting music on this list.
