Grammy Record of the Year Winners (1958-2004)
With the Grammy’s quickly approaching, thought it might be interesting to look back at the “Record of the Year” Winners. With the Grammy’s quickly approaching, thought it might be interesting to look back at the “Record of the Year” Winners. For those of you that don’t follow the award, it’s the top honor one can receive. In Grammy terms it means song of the year. Below you’ll find a list of the winners from 1958 to 2004. It’s just as interesting to see the winners (Bobby McFerrin, The Doobie Brothers) to whose not on the list (The Beatles, Elvis).

Here’s the list of the 2005 nods for record of the year

"Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eyed Peas
"Here We Go Again" by Ray Charles and Norah Jones
"American Idiot" by Green Day
"Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys
"Yeah!" by Usher

I’d love Green Day to get it, but if I was to bet, I’d place a fat wager down on Ray Charles and Norah Jones. [-]
