The Seven Stages Of Accepting The Unbearable Fact That You Are Going To Be Alone For The Rest Of Your Life. Guilt. Realizing you're not good enough, wishing you were good enough, and coming to terms with the realization that you will never be his, and unfortunately, he will never be yours. Anger. This mere boy has overtaken you, stolen every inch of hope and confidence straight out from under you, and yet you're still entranced by him. Depression. You sit in the corner, reminiscing on all those nights wasted, spent dreaming of the future that you would live happily with him. Denial. Of course, with enough wistful thinking, enough sweet talking, and a kiss on the cheek, you can win him back with your ever-so-charming personality, and a few bats of your eyelashes. Acceptance. Maybe you'll be okay, but yes, there is still an eighty-seven percent chance that this will destroy you. And, finally, coming to terms. You're going to be alone, in fact you were always alone, but just too naive to realize it.
