This is a track listing for a party i compiled the music for, and it went down like crazy. It Starts off with some chilled out Chicane that builds up to a massive classic tune with big breakdowns to get people listening and on the dancefloor, then dropping in the all conquering Put Your Hands Up For Detroit that really gets people going and in the mood. This mixes perfectly into Tom Neville I See Girls which most people know and is a good bump and grind song. This bumping and grinding carries on with the Poker Face remix of My Love, a great song to get a pull out of nice and early on. Then this morphs into the next 5 songs which are very much electro themed which could be said to be started with Mylo and Drop the Pressure and finishes on the Klaxons Golden Skans remix which has been ripping up dance floors across the UK with the Indie/ Dance crossover known as "Nu-Rave."
This electro theme slowly, via the Thin White Duke Remix of Talk, moves back to the mainstream house and dance that will definetly bring people back if they didn't like the electro. Featuring the standard Perfect, Love Don't Let Me Go singalongs with the heavy remix of the Artic Monkey's thrown in because it is so sick. Then a few more house tunes which are new out in the last few months and are getting played on the radio with the Lollipop being one giant innuendo and for the more "ghetto" people out there the Touch Your Toes to grind to. My My My and Flashdance mix perfectly into each other before the Party starts to move away from the commercial stuff and into the the heavier beats such as the Yeah Yeah instrumental which will leave people just waiting for the vocals that never come, suckers. At Night also another massive house tune being slammed out at the moment. At this time most people are completely gone and might be thinking of crashing out but these tunes keep em here till the end. With Destination Calabria being the last commercial tune until finishing it off with some classic trance anthems with gouryella having the infectious hook and the breakdown in 1998 is unparalled even to this day. Adagio for strings brings the party from a huge classical breakdown of the strings to a thumping tune that you never want to end.
you may notice that some songs have been left out from this frankly really commercial mix, this is because Cascada would only fit in at the end as its BPM is very quick and i refuse to mix Everytime We Touch in with tunes such as 1998. Also Bob Sinclair because i hate the whistle hooks he uses, come on seriously they are really annoying.
enjoy.
