My favorites, as of April 25. There are my opinions on each, if you really want them. Or, you can just listen.

Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying- I really love belle & Sebastian. I got into this song after my long time, long distance boyfriend and I broke up. I really love the line "At the final moment I cried, I always cry at endings".

A Perfect Fit- Tilly and the Wall really gets me on my feet. I think it's the tap dancer. It's also one of Conor Oberst livelier efforts.

How It Should Be (Sha Sha)- Reminds me of the basics in life. If things weren’t so complicated, everything would be better.

Worked Up So Sexual- Literally, it’s about strippers and why they do what they do, but sometimes I think of it like why anyone does what they do. And does it really even help? But before the deeper meaning thing, the beat is fun.

Anonymous- Everyone has those things they don’t want anyone else to know. And I love screaming girl music.

I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone- Oh my, I can think of so many reasons why I love, love, love this song. One, screaming girl music. Two, who doesn’t love Joey Ramone? And I can relate to this well. It’s the person you’ve always liked, but has never noticed you because he/she is too involved in someone (or something) else.

Pictures of Houses- As I said, Tilly and the Wall is such a feel good band. This song makes me feel so hopeful, like I do when summer begins. A fresh page of life to write all over.

Hella Nervous- And sometimes, I like to dance. It’s fun.

Torture Me- This song’s really sexy.

Reckless- Yet another Tilly and the Wall tune. But, this one you can really hear Jamie, the tap dancer.

Gold Lion- The beginning really reminds me of “Where Is My Mind?” by the Pixies. However, nobody does it like Karen O.

Wanderer’s Guild- This song’s kind of off genre for me, but I love it anyhow. It reminds me of when I have a bad day, and I really want to tell someone, but I just don’t want to talk.

Art is Hard- I love the intro. It’s about the difficulty of song writing and how you’ve got to have issues to write a hit, but in the end, they all blend together.

We’ll Never Sleep, God Knows We’ll Try- This is a good one to fall asleep to. Jenny’s voice is so smooth. Rilo Kiley is my favorite band. Ever. Period.

Lizzy- Ben Kweller is great. I don’t know the lyrics well, but I do like the tune.

Valentine- I fell in love with this song in my long distance relationship. “Will you be my valentine if I’m a world away?”

Set It Off- This song makes me want to wear mini skirts and pile on the makeup. That’s something every girl needs once and a while.

Through Being Cool- This is how I would beat someone up if I ever got the courage (or strength) to. Frustration at it’s finest.

Jenny, You’re Barely Alive- Ditto “We’ll Never Sleep, God Knows We’ll Try”, but throw in a screaming girl bridge and you’re all set.

Take Your Mama- Great for driving. “Looking overdressed, wearing buckets of stale cologne.”

So Says I- One of my favorite Shins songs. It’s fast, and I have no idea what he’s saying. The only part I sing along with is the “oh oh oh oh oh”. Once you hear it, you’ll see what I mean.

Bigmouth Strikes Again- I love The Smiths. Dark lyrics, upbeat music.

Like Eating Glass- My personal favorite Bloc Party song. I like how it builds up.

Choose the One Who Loves You Most- I love the opening line: “Rain, rain, rain on my mind”.

I’ll Catch You- A cute song. Sweet lyrics. [-]
