12 Great Visayan Collections of Max Surban (ORIGINAL PHILIPPINE MUSIC)
Max Surban worked the machines in his native Cebu before becoming a professional singer. He started singing in nightclubs in Cebu City, before coming to Manila in 1968. He had been given a stint to entertain troops in Saigon during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to Manila, he formed a vocal group known as the Neophonic Band. Humor and his native tongue Cebuano were his famous trademarks for his Visayan hits, although he was also known for his heartfelt rendition of ballads.
