Thanks Robert! Great list. I was thinking of making a playlist out of Pitchfork's Infinite Mixtape, with links to all the free (legal) mp3s, but haven't had time yet (unless someone else has already done it?).

BTW, I was having trouble finding some of these, but it turns out eMusic.com is the perfect partner for those who like Pitchfork's style of indie. I found almost all of the tracks on eMusic, and burned through my free trial 50 downloads right quick. Seems like a pretty good service, if your not after the major label stuff. Best of all is there is no DRM. FIQL should definitely add it to the download links.

You sorted through a lot of music and your selections are almost flawless. The only tracks I would have changed is TV on the Radio to "I was a lover" and New Pornographers to "Bones of an Idol." On the other hand, you helped me go back and find some gems I missed. You have a well-listened ear. Thank you.
