Songs I Used To Be Embarassed About Liking
Other | Pop
We all have them. I'm no longer ashamed at all, and I still listen to some of these regularly. Hey, when life gives you lemons...

This is a fun concept....for me, at my age, it was the Bee Gees' disco music (Saturday Night Fever, etc...). As a 60's vocal trio, they stood eye-to-eye with Donovan, Cream and their other UK compadres. They were cool. But when they went to Muscle Shoals (that's Alabam, allegedly on advice from Eric Clapton, in the wake of the way-classic 461 Ocean Blvd), they re-emerged as the kings of disco. Yikes!!! Heresy! Words could not express the sense of betrayal felt by this young rocker. Cut to present: I LOVE all the Bee Gees' 70's stuff, sometimes even more than their 60's classics. I ask myself, how deep is my love?? Deep enuf to come out of the embarrassment closet.
