FIQL Pick SONGS WITH TIGHT BEATS in rap and hip-hop!!!!
I picked out songs that I thought had the tightest BEATS in a hip-hop and rap track. These songs won't necessarily have the best lyrics or the best rapping or the best rappers in them....but I really, really like these beats. As you can see, a lot of these songs are OLD school. In my opinion, hip-hop was at its prime in the 90's. I don't RESPECT people like 50 cent, Twista, Lil Jon, Sean Paul, Beyonce, Nelly, Yin yang Twins...these fools ain't SHYT compared to people like 2Pac, Nas, Biggy, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Dre and Snoop.

People who adore 50Cent don't know what hip-hop really is.

Dude, if you're talking tight, crazy beats you HAVE to throw in Mathematics by Mos Def.

if your talking about sick beats you should check out Blue Scholars. pretty big in seattle underground/hip-hop scene. you have to through People Under The Stairs and Zion I, seriously. Speaking of beats, have you heard of this canadian hip hop beatmaker/ musician "So Called". The album Ghettoblaster is not bad.
