Here is a mix or recent indie music, circa March, 2007. An overall theme is fun, experimental songs. The start of "something" perhaps.
1. Young Folks: The Swedes are on a tear with new indie bands. If I could only get the whistling out of my head.
2. Dashboard: A great song from a solid album. Hard not to like anything with Johnny Marr.
3. Airplane/Primitive: A recent find for me. Familiar and fresh at the same time.
4. Postcards From Italy: Forget cowbell, I need more mandolin!
5. Double Vision: Another recent discovery. Harks back to an earlier era.
6. Trains to Brazil: Good buzz for a good reason. Fun and refreshing.
7. Cuts Across The Land: The cover art and the music makes me want to slam a Jager bomb. Nuff said!
8. Herculean: Addictive. Hard to go wrong with Blur, Verve and Clash pedigree.
9. Sleeping Lessons: My favorite album this year so far. A fantastic effort.
10. 23: Atmospheric with beautiful harmonics. A summer daydream.
11. Erase You: Haunting. Feels like an outtake of Radiohead's Hail to the Thief.
12. Song For The Fields: 60's meets 80's meets 2007. Interesting mashup.
13. Meds: My favorite addiction song since Starsailor's "Alcoholic."
14. Carry Around: A better Beck. Fun with harmony.
