I was going for mellow yet positive here, something to create a sense of wellness while at the same time allowing my wife to relax in the midst of her most painful experience ever. Though she came out "sunny side up", it was a natural birth, and I like to think this playlist gave my daughter a good initial look at what life has to offer. [-]

Agreed ... Modern was a misnomer - I meant to say that the list was modern in the sense of including bands I currently listen to (as opposed to the sort of list I might have put together a decade ago for the same purpose). But I can see how it implied the songs or bands themselves are modern - which very few if any would qualify for.
