Head Automatica is the project made up of Glassjaw singer Daryl Palumbo and noted beatmaker Dan the Automator. Using arena-sized alt-rock guitars and throwing them up against more dancefloor-oriented beats might seem ill-conceived, but the combination the duo is going for is an odd yet interesting mix of post-punk disco and anthemic punk-pop. Throw in Palumbo's penchant for screaming at any given moment, and you have a nervy, rough-edged, punk-dance party.
