The Veronicas are an Australian pop rock duo geared to appeal to either teen age girls, middle-aged men or both. Identical twins Lisa and Jess Origliasso dress like bad girls and play guitar-centric songs about love and rebellion while wearing tons and tons of eye makeup. This may be a very savvy marketing move, but to the girls' credit, they come off as intelligent kids rather than T.A.T.U.-like self-exploiters and the songs themselves are well-written and catchy.
